The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.



The League of Women Voters supports Issue 1 which will be on the May 8 primary ballot. It is a proposed constitutional amendment to end partisan congressional gerrymandering of Ohio's U.S. congressional districts. Issue 1 outlines a four-stage process for reaching agreement on a redistricting map. The proposed amendment provides for bipartisan engagement, keeps communities together, and does not favor one party or candidate. It has bipartisan support.
